CAS Cable is expanding into Kanawha County! We are a WV based video, broadband and phone provider serving West Virginia and Ohio for the past 45 years. We are searching for a Network Engineer to assist in the design and support of our expanding network. The selected candidate will be responsible for participating as an individual contributor in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, new product implementation, implementing existing products and services and the overall upkeep and maintenance of the network.
Core Responsibilities:
Assist in installing, monitoring, testing and maintaining central office/headend network equipment consisting of fiber optic deployments, HFC cable plant equipment, cable television equipment and central office network equipment.
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls)
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades.
Maintain and monitor both internal and external servers/equipment.
Hands on experience with scripting/development languages are desired.
Basic understanding of networking protocols (switching/routing)
Occasional onsite visit to commercial establishments to assist install technician with end user fiber deployments and/or IP phone installations.
Assist with contacting vendors for procurement of new equipment, troubleshooting current equipment and oversee installation.
Monitor system for issues, inform appropriate department of problem, and follow up to verify issue has been resolved.
Can communicate clearly to all levels of the organization (technical and non-technical).
We are looking for people who can learn the complexities of our exceptionally large, multi-vendor network infrastructure and who will add value to our team by keeping our customers running 24/7 and 365 days a year. Must be able to participate in rotating on-call support one week per month as part of a team.
Must be willing to occasionally assist Tier 1 technicians with lower level tasks and/or projects on an as needed basis depending on staff availability and shift coverage.
Lift over 40 lbs and ability to stand for long periods.
Safely climb ladders and adhere to safety policies.
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work evenings and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary to complete upgrades and maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:
2 year degree in an IT related field or equivalent experience.
Excellent phone and computer skills.
Knowledge of commercial grade routers and switches, both physical and virtual Windows and Linux based servers, local networks, switches, and other network related software/equipment.
Ability to handle many tasks simultaneously and maintain composure in stressful situations.
Valid driver's license necessary.
Some travel required:
Candidate must be willing to commute between Parkersburg and Charleston during the week for training and project work. Travel costs are compensatory.

Responsibilities:
Prepare invoices and billing statements
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Prepare financial statements and reports
Conduct month end and year end close processes
Assist in budget preparation and forecasting
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
Handle tax preparation and filing activities
Utilize accounting software to process transactions accurately
Payroll processing
Input invoices and prepare checks for payment
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Experience as an Accountant/Bookkeeper
Proficiency in Sage 50 and other accounting software
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
Experience with balance sheet reconciliations
Understanding of tax procedures and compliance
Knowledge of debits, credits, and financial statements
Technical expertise in financial accounting
